JBT (Junior Basic Training)
also called Diploma in Education is the brainchild of the education department of the government of India with a view to developing skills in JBT teacher training so that the all-round development of children viz intellectual, physical and emotional could be catered to by their mentors. The course is tailored for teachers who would be inculcating all the education values from the JBT course especially to the target group viz. children in the junior group. 

The JBT teacher training course is of two year duration and admission to the course is subject to entrance test.

Students all over India are increasingly looking for opportunities to improve their skills due to the demand for trained professionals in the academic sectors. With the rise in demand for JBT Course several JBT institutes offer JBT teacher training opportunities in their institutes. Applications can be obtained at the counter. On request the JBT course forms are issued. The details of the course along with information about application forms are available on several websites.
RESERVATION:

Reservation as prescribed by the Govt. shall be available.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: The candidates must possess educational qualification of 10+2 with at least 50% marks for unreserved category candidates and with at least 45% marks for the reserved category candidates belonging to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/other backward classes and IRDP.

2. AGE LIMIT: The age of the candidates must be between 17 to 28 years. The upper age limit shall be relaxable by five years in case of SC/ST/OBC/IRDP category candidates only. There will be no upper age limit in the case of ex-servicemen candidates; however this concession/relaxation of upper age limit will not be admissible to their wards/dependents.
3. FEE FOR ENTRANCE TEST: The applications for entrance test shall be accompanied with crossed postal order/bank draft.

4. Entrance test

QUESTION PAPER: There shall be one question paper having questions of multiple choice type, carrying 90 questions of one mark each to be attempted within TWO HOURS. The subjects along with the distribution of marks shall be as under:

NOTE: The question Papers of Hindi, English and Numerical ability shall be of 10+2 standard. The questions of General Awareness will be based mainly on Himachal Pradesh with special emphasis on rural areas.
PERSONAL INTERVIEW
10 (Ten) marks have been assigned to personal interview. Candidates to be called for interview would be three times to the number of Vacancies.
