          The work of fine artists is a form of self expression while the work of applied artists finds commercial application. Applied artists find employment in advertising agencies, interior design and display, exhibition work, government and semi-government undertakings, etc.
          The work of artists requires creativity, imagination, curiosity and a sense of adventure. They have to make visually appealing presentations and hence they work with a variety of materials.
          They work in areas like Greeting Card Design, Web Design, House Design, Media Design, Screen Printing.
CARTOONIST
Cartoonists express critically, sarcastically and wittingly their perceptions, the subjects moods through their strokes and cutting images. Cartooning as an art uses simple strokes for creating exciting characters that spring to life on news pages.
          A basic drawing/sketching skill is an asset though no formal training is required.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography is an art, and like music and most other arts, needs practice and perseverance. It is not enough to know how to operate the camera alone. They can work in areas of  commercial Photography, Photo Journalism, Industrial, Medical, Environmental, Fashion Photography
          One must have that extra quality, an interest in visuals, an attentiveness to colour, shape, and shadow, and interest in light, in observing how colours look on certain days, for example, on dull lays, or golden sunsets.

           A BA in Professional Photography will emphasize the fundamentals of photography, visual literacy and the necessary business skills to prepare for a career in photography.
