The visa officer could quiz you about the objective of your visit, duration of your visit, current job profile.

  • How many brothers and sisters do you have?
  •  What is your father’s annual income?
  • Where your brother/parents did completed their studies.
  •  Do you have a brother / sister, or any other relative already at this university?
  •  Where did your brother/parents complete their studies?


ABOUT SPONSOR AND FINANCIAL DETAILS

  • Have you got any Loans? 41) What are the sources of income of your sponsor?
  • What proof do you have that your sponsor can support your studies?
  •  Who is paying for your education and what is his/her income?
  • Who is sponsoring you?
  • Could you please show me the passbook or bank statements?
  • How many people are dependents of your sponsor?
  • Why is he sponsoring you? (if not father)
  • How much money is available for your stay in US?
  • How are you related to your sponsor (if not father)?
  • How will you finance your education funds for 4 years?
  • (Generally you need to prove that you can fund the first year of your education, it is suggested that you be prepared with this answer).

  • VISA officer may ask why I should grant you US VISA.

The United States, the work environment is both professional and causal as well. Don’t be surprised if you see people bring their pets to work! The work culture and dress code here are different than in India. Schedules are flexible, and the atmosphere is informal .
OFFICE ENVIRONMENT
The office environment is informal, and there is no apparent hierarchy between managers and their subordinates. Employees are treated as equals, and independent views are welcomed.

American work culture involves a lot of meetings. These meetings need not deal with big decisions, but are more like discussions, and are centered on the analyzing, planning and review of any project. Opinions and ideas are shared, and objections are made.
WORKING HOURS
Normal office timings go from 8 AM to 5 PM. You do need to maintain a minimum of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Results matter more than anything; you must be able to deliver on demand.
